Christ Community desires to be a fresh, contemporary expression of classic, Biblical Christianity. Our ambition is to follow God in building a healthy, loving church fellowship that is spiritually vital, culturally connected, and Bible-based, serving the cause of Jesus Christ into the next generation. We want CCF to be a place where people can connect and grow in meaningful relationships and experience the life-changing grace of God, a different kind of church setting; an inviting, non-threatening environment where friends can explore and learn about spiritual realities and His love and all Christ has done and wants to do in our lives.

God’s Distinct Grace and Calling

We are taking some big steps forward. There is a great need for a church like Christ Community. There is a great need for reaching a large segment of today’s secular-minded people in our region with the life-changing message of Christ and God’s love. While there are already a host of good churches doing a great work for God’s Kingdom in our area, we believe we have a customized commission from God to relate with, serve, and share the Christian message with those unchurched around us, people unconnected and reluctant to even visit traditional churches; those unfamiliar with the traditions and language of the church, uninterested in the conventional forms and rituals of the church, unaware and somehow missing the timeless, life-giving message of God’s love. They live all around us. They sense real, spiritual needs in their lives but view the church as unsympathetic and insincere in its appeal to them. People today see the church and its subculture as strange and irrelevant. We live in the middle of a great mission field of unreached people.

There is a God-designed, eternally significant reason for Christ Community to be here and to move forward in His calling.

Branching Out Ministry Advance

We are trusting God, mobilizing, and launching a three-year movement to establish and expand God’s mission through Christ Community and to creatively advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in the Allegheny Valley region and beyond. We will work to build:

A Community of Believers

Experiencing and sharing a real, growing relationship with the Living God, learning to love Him and love one another.

A Climate for Relationships

Establishing a relational environment of grace and mutual encouragement for personal, spiritual formation and growth toward Christlikeness.

A Co-op of Ministries

Fostering and facilitating partnerships, training, and the support needed to serve people and to advance His Kingdom.

A Campus for Connection

Housing and supporting a growing number of interpersonal, family, church, and community ministries a place to experience God and His grace.

A Home for CCF

Our aim is to develop a distinct retreat campus and facilities that will serve the people and families of our region as a center for spiritual life and a home for a growing ministry. This campus will house and support the people and programming for a growing number of interpersonal, church, and community ministries for worship, fellowship, growth, service, and witness for Christ.

Our Objectives

Trusting God for His guidance and provision

1. We will gain the financing for and construct a first home building for CCF, including a first set of flexible classrooms and convertible assembly area and a suite of offices and meeting rooms.
2. Over the years that follow, we will plan, finance, and add those structures that will outfit Christ Community for a full and diverse ministry. These will include a multi-purpose, technically supported auditorium; an inviting, comfortable greeting and information hall; a full kitchen; and a computer lab and learning center. Perimeter grounds and gardens, walkways, and amphitheater will be part of the future outdoor development.
3. We will pray, plan, and initiate a broadening number of creative ministry efforts and groups.
4. We will plan and add the support staffing to manage and care for this campus and to administer the work.
5. We will look to find, secure, and utilize any auxiliary facilities that will enable CCF’s fuller operation and advancement in this mission.
